NXI Loses Four Masks!!!!
In early October 2006, Steve Badger of NXI PMed me and very graciously donated a brand new Phantom, with certified cage and custom colours, to one of my foster kids, in response to a thread of mine titled "Can You Help These Kids?"
The 16 year old who was set to receive the mask was stunned and happy. He has FAS and is not too trusting of adults, having been through the system all his life. He's a great kid, but cynical about people who are paid to care for him. This made the mask even more of a shock to him, as it is probably the nicest thing anyone outside the system has EVER done for him.
The mask, though, never arrived. Steve was surprised, but took my address again and said he'd ship another one out in time for Christmas, which was awesome.
The mask, though, never arrived. Steve said it was turned back at Customs due to something in the tape on the box being red-flagged. He said he often gets more scrutiny due to the name "NXI Defense Systems". He took my address down, again, and said he'd send out another mask, the third.
That, too, never made it. I alerted Steve to this in early June of 2007. He was a lot calmer than I would have been after losing 3 masks in the mail. That's a LOT of money down the drain!!!
Steve said he'd send out another mask ASAP, by UPS. He asked me, again, for my address, and said it would be shipped the following Monday. I left two phone messages, a PM, and an email, but I guess Steve didn't get them, as I haven't heard back from him.
I feel awful that Steve has eaten the cost of four masks! Even worse, UPS said it can't find a package emanating from NXI to my address over the last three weeks.
Can anybody help?
