As of 4 months now, they have held together well. I've compared the stitching on these to the 2006 set that I had. It seems they put in an extra bead or line through those elastic pieces attaching the ball. Again, this is also my concern with them. If they do break, I'll have to make a few more modifications to them in this area. I'll post that when it does happen. According to my source, part of the reason for the tearing was because there was no give in the upper thigh strapping system as it was too tight and would pull the knee part from the thigh part too much. These velcro'ed elastic straps have much more flex in them at the thigh areas for this set due to them being a bit longer. I don't know if it will make a difference but I'm hoping these last longer.
