Then, the talc might nullify the gripping properties of the rubber guards, thus hindering your push-offs.
So you'd be back to square 1, in addition to smelling like a freshly bathed baby.
If you could find a platform shoe like the one pictured (from the 70's), it would simulate the height of the skate! And after your B/F slide practice, you can do some pimpin' on da side.
