I have really crappy Mylec pads (not for long) which shredded on the knees. I can't sew them so I used black duct tape. These pads didn't even last through the fall and spring. At the beggining of the spring season they ripped. The duct tape has lasted ever since. They don't look great (which makes me mad, because I go for the "pro" image) but they work until I can get new ones.
