speaking of that stuff, i was always wanting to convert my old boot into a lower profile chassis and a cowling. just so i can have the benefit of ankle stability plus being lower to the ground. any ideas?

If you think the problem with the goalie skates was being to close to the ground (sounds weird to me but whatever) why not just use taller wheels?
I built a set of roller goalie skates and have 80mm (I think) wheels on them right now. They work alright, are comfy and don't hurt like hell when I get hit in the skate with the puck.
