If you think the problem with the goalie skates was being to close to the ground (sounds weird to me but whatever) why not just use taller wheels?

I built a set of roller goalie skates and have 80mm (I think) wheels on them right now. They work alright, are comfy and don't hurt like hell when I get hit in the skate with the puck.
