I guess they don't teach percentages in HS.

Picture this. You're standing up hugging the post, guy on the short side with the puck. 2nd forward on the other side 2-3 feet from the net. Cross ice pass.

You can butterfly across, cover 25% of the height of the net, and hope your hand is fast enough to react to a highr shot. Or you can pad stack, take out 50% of the height of the net, and play the odds that the shooter can't raise the puck that high from that short a distance.

I like the odds on the pad stack much better.

But listen to the HS coach over keeks. After all, it's not like keeks has a proven record or anything...
