Don't knock it kid. You have a boatload of experienced goalies, as well as professional goalie coaches telling you it's a move you should have in your arsenal. Same as the diving poke check and the semi bfly. The more techniques you have, and are known to have, the more you keep the shooter guessing, and hesitating, and missing the shot. Remember, the best save is the one you don't have to make.
