Completely agree with having the tools in the toolbox. It's important to not be too predictable. I too am a predominately butterfly goaltender, but I like to be able to mix it up with a pad stack or an aggressive slide out towards a cutting shooter coming at a bad angle. It's easy to sit back on a play and let it come to you (which a lot of the time is the best play), but that is not always the right play either. Nothing is 100% effective 100% of the time (which, in the end, is why goals are scored).

Either way, listen to what people are saying so.mingoaldude. Keeks, Wellsie, and most of the other posters in this thread know what they are talking about.
