the main difference is the leg channels,
the 7400 is exactly like the vaults, while the v3 7500 is a more traditional velocity channel.
The stuffing in the pads is also a key factor but it comes down to personal preference....... the 7500 will have a better life expectancy and would be recomended for a higher level of play. I would get the 7500 as they will last longer and it will save you money in the long run rather than getting new pads every season.

If you play on average 5 times a week ad high level hockey like myself it is a no brainer to get the 7500, but at almost a year with this intense workload i will need to get new pads soon as mine are getting a little flimsy, but that shouldn't be a problem if you arent on the ice as much.
