I decided on the Epic because I read that it was similar to the 5500 and the 5500 got good reviews (As well as Vaughn's great reputation).
Overall - 9/10
I would give it a 10, but I've only used it on ice for about a half an hour. I ordered it two tuesdays ago from GM and it arrived last tuesday, which was the last day of tryouts (Midget 16). I decided to use it for tryouts despite it being brand new, it opened nicely and it closed with little more effort than my 7.8, and I thought displayed my talents plenty the other nights (It helps that there were only three goalies trying out for two teams). Unfortunately, two drills into tryouts, I sprained my knee and that was that. Soo, while sitting around nursing my knee, I thought I'd get a head start on breaking in my new glove, and after about a week of playing around and tossing a puck around in it, it has great closure and is extremely comfortable. I just can't wait to get back on the ice and really test it out. I'm just glad I used it when I did. Oh, and I made the team.
I'll probobly add more in a few weeks when I really get to use it.
