The breaks are slightly similar but the feel is different, but it's a pro glove so that doesn't suprise me. As for grip, it doesn't seem much different. It has an inner glove that extends to just about the end of my hand and then there's a strap that goes from the glove over the back of your hand and then velcros onto the inner glove instead of looping back onto itself, which kind of distributes the tightness, unlike the 7.8 that has that one over the fingers that just squeezes the fingers and the "bridge" over the back of the hand that can only get so tight. Then it has the standard wrist cinch. I actually think the Epic can get a little tighter than the 7.8, but like I said, I haven't really used it for a full session so It's hard to compare grip during play.
