I have finally played a game in the covers on Sport Court. I will give my observations on how they did.
There was a noticeable change in the sliding of the pads while on the surface.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I was happy with the results. Performing a sliding V is out of the question on Sport Court but I didn't really expect to be able to. The biggest advantage that I noticed is If I drop in a V and the puck is deflected or a rebound is given the pads DO slide when I rotate my hips and extend out. I was used to being able to lean on my feet in almost a Potvin like stance. I wasn't paying attention and I tried it and the pads slid out from under me.
So I guess the best way to describe using the pad covers is that you are able to shuffle and slide the pads while down which I was unable to without. My pads would stick and rub. There is a noticeable difference in the abilty to extend out while making a save. The pad will no longer stick to the surface!
I am VERY happy with my purchase and I will be out there again this weekend! I may get some action pics.
