Hello; I bought a leather cleaner and conditioner that is meant for people who have horses. It is for cleaning saddles and bridles and that kind of stuff. Any place that sells tack equipment will have some. If you live in Canada and there is one nearby I bought mine at good old Princess Auto. It is a white paste and it works great. Thoroughly removes all old tape and goo. Keep the palm clean and supple. Try this if you can find some. Good luck.
