Hey I have a pair of RBK X-Pulse 6.0 that are 35" tall. The pad already comes with a top strap that comes from the inner top of the pad down behind the knee and connects next to the one that hold my knee in the knee lock. I don't have a very wide butterfly and I find that the pad above my knee just juts straight out, and would be of much more use if I could break the material so that it came in such as the Velocitys, or the Turco Break RBKS. The pads only have 1 break in them below the knee, and my idea is to put another break in the pad above the knee. I am not sure what materials are used in these pads, and am hesitating about opening them up until I know what I am dealing with. My first idea was to actually just force the material to bend at the point I wanted until the material that holds the pad stiff actually breaks at that point. After that Id ad another break in the outter roll to match where the new break in the pads is.
What do you guys think? and do you have any helpful incites on it?
