What other sports do you play that help with goaltending?
Other sports that affect your play as a goaltender?
Growing up playing soccer and baseball always helped with hockey.
Most of the time I was the goalie or catcher, but enjoyed when I could play'out' or the treasured second base.
Into high school I discovered badminton. My opponents always wondered how I could pick the birdie out of the air. I think it was because I imagined it was a puck.
The same ran true when I switched back to the ice and my imagination made those glove saves easy.
Now I'm a dad and Tae Kwon do has entered the scene. The stretching,large muscle exercises and yoga(yes, I did type yoga) have helped me through the morning after that double overtime oldtimer tournament.
So, I pose the question, what sports( other than hockey) do you play that help your game?
I think next year, I'm gonna try lacrosse.
