Seeing Mulletrose on ESPN saying Osgood could have taken out Ribero's eye makes me want to vomit. If it's valid to say that Ribero could have lost an eye (he wears a half shield btw) then it's valid to say that Ribero could have seriously injured Osgood just by being a foot higher with the swing and hitting him in the neck.

Frankly I've thrown my arm out like Ozzie to try and disrupt a fore checking froward a million times, with no intention of but ending anyone, so I believed Ozzie in the press conference when he said it was unintentional. A hockey play if you will.

Ribero's swing was entirely intentional and as we all know from Pronger it's all about intent.

While I would like to see the league do something about players that use their sticks as a weapon, neither player is dead so when the NHL as per usual does nothing, I'll be fine with it.
