OK OK .. I'll share
A few years ago I was working at a radio station WKMX in Dothan Alabama, I had been there for about a year and a half, but had decided it was time to move on. Well I had to give my apt a 60 day notice, and my office a 30 day notice (contract).
So I gave my Apt their notice, and told a few friends... One of whom was a DJ at a different station ... well she comes back to me about 3 weeks later and tells me, that the station is planning on firing me, and that they have already hired my replacement ....
I dont really care I'd checked out long before this happend, but this was one of those rare oppertunities to get even with somebody that was gonna try and screw you......
So that afternoon (3-7 Shift), I start promoting the huge anouncement that I have at 5:30.... Biggest news that the city has had in years yada yada yada... the phones are blowing up people want to know whats happening, there is speculation that there is a big concert coming, a huge contest... nobody knows what it is ....
With out getting too technical, my ratings were very big at this time.....
So finely 5:30 comes, and I explain that my blood sucking evil boss has decided to fire me... but whats worse.... He has already hired my replacement, and he hasent told me yet....
I explain to my listeners, that we are both owed an explination.......
So I call him... Live ... On the air... (and give his phone number out by mistake ..Opps
)
Lets just say that he was NOT happy, apparently there was pickiting of the station, and my boss ended up getting fired for the bad press haha .....
