Thanks for all of the discussion

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for all of the help and discussion. It's great.

I'd love to play ice, believe me, but I am not a strong skater and now, as a 31 year-old balancing two jobs, a wife, and 4 y.o. son, learning to play goal on ice is not much of an option in the next little while.

The thing I am most curious about is the idea of sewing knee lifts in. I didn't even know such a thing existed. Where can I get them and how can this be done? Perhaps this is the best way to make street hockey pads (which'll be more durable) more butterfly-friendly. Also, is there anything that can be done to help make pads more rotate-able? That's the other thing that concerns me. I suppose loosening the straps helps, but I don't know if it solves the problem.

I'm going to try to hit the local shop to try the Tour EVO6000 street pads (seems to be top of the line street pad right now) to see if there's even a shot (with knee mods...really curious about that). It sounds like the RBK pads may not be the way to go.

Thanks again...looking forward to your responses.

Daniel
