Try moving your gloves more in front of you. That closes the gaps between your arm and body, makes it easier to watch the puck into your glove, and you don't have to reach as far to get the puck. So instead of having to fully extend your arm out to the side and making a difficult save, you can reach out in front your body and make an easier catch.

Vic.
I think the not watching the puck into my glove is precisely the problem. Never considered it until you mentioned it. I tend to have the same problem when I play football with buddies, sometimes I know the football is going into my hands, so I take focus off and worry about where i'm going once I make the catch -- which then leads to a nice drop of the ball haha

I have been trying to keep my glove more out in front of me but i'm not sure if I"m doing it right because it feels awkward at times. Here is a description of what i'm doing with my glove hand; Often i'm trying to keep my glove out in front of me, with the face of the glove basically parallel to me, picture the palm of my hand/glove facing down ice. Is this a mistake? Often I see goalies with their gloves in front of them with the palm/face of the glove angled off instead of being parallel with their bodies, which leads me to believe I'm going about this practice of keep the glove in front of me incorrectly.

If my descriptions aren't clear I can take a picture of how I hold my glove for critique. Thanks so much for the suggestions however, I have a game this thursday so I'm going to try to focus at following that puck into my glove, sometimes though I have a hard time tracking the puck to my glove on a really quick shot...I imagine that is just going to take seeing shot after shot to get my reaction time up.
