Getting beat low blocker side on slappers

Hi all - I'm playing again after a 13 yr layoff. I always thought I had good angles, and a very quick butterfly, but my last game was a real doozy! I must have let in 4 goals in a row on long slappers low blocker side, on both sides, as wingers were skating in. And for whatever reason, I just COULD NOT adjust. Later on, I realized that in situations like this, where my angles were obviously totally out of whack that night, maybe I should have reduced the distance I was cutting down the angles.

Otherwise, what's the best remedy? Maybe I need Angles 101 again...thx
