No, the fact is that being open minded is the very reason that I do not believe in religion or any other fairy tales.
So, your lack of faith is an example of open-mindedness?

Quote:
It is not being closed minded to realize that belief systems that tell people that the earth is only 6,000 years old
This is a misconception. I don't know how old the earth is, nor do I claim to. Time can be a rather tricky thing.

Again, you're confusing religion with religious fanatics. I'm sure we can find numerous examples of scientists who have done things that were less than palatable. Defining anything by its fringed is unfair all around. But that's okay, keep that open mind.

Quote:
The planes hitting the twin towers were a result of religious zealotry.
And therefore a perfect example of how all religious people are. Your point is made.

Which means, if we're going to play fair, that scientists are all sadistic psychopaths who only want to crush religion in order to determine the indisputable facts about science: Nazi human experimentation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Or are these scientists not indicative of science as a whole? By your logic, and "open-mindedness", me believing that all science goes like the above experiments is perfectly justifiable.
