I think another thing missed is that not all of us believe and/or follow an omnipotent god (I sure don't). Or a god thats all sunshine and lollipops (once again, I don't.. well most of the time). The other thing is that there are also religions that don't believe in following a god as well. So where do all the "if you believe in religion you follow a domineering god so therefore you are spineless" arguments? If that makes any sense.
