Coming from Vapor XXX pants with the built in telescoping knee protection that I liked, I felt like my Eastons were missing something. I had a pair of the first gen. RBK knee pads (Koho 590 type), so I decided to do something with those.
The Eastons don't have lace in flaps for knee pads, so I ran lace from the knee pad all the way to the top of the pant to an attachment point that I created.
As many of you know, the RBK knee pads can dig into the knee caps pretty badly. What I did was take that plastic knee cap out and replaced it with the Vapor XXX knee pad. I'll try to get some pics up later, but the Eastons basically have a Luongo type setup to them now that the XXX knee cup is in there. Much softer as well!
