Played for the Moncton Wildcats, then got traded to the Baie-Comeau Draakers (sp?). Scored 43 goals in 68 games. Not Sid the kid numbers, but certainly worth a look. He was about to re-enter the draft and Boston traded for him to sign him to an entry-level deal.
Boston gave up an AHL ready defenseman for him, I wouldn't call that pointless. He has scored 40 or more goals in 3 of 4 "Q" seasons. He may or may not make it to the NHL, but he's gonna get paid to play hockey, which is more than most of us on this board can say......especially #20.
Side note: Damn good stick-handler, and when he came home his first year from Moncton, played in a tourny against me, and damn, he LIT me up..........
Of course, some argue that the local novice team can do the same, but I digress.....
