These are great looking pads. You have the newer knee cradle set up (the older version had your knee directly against the back of the pad) with the the extra "U" stitched against the pad.

I did hear that was a mod to help with rotation (what seems to be the only rare "beef" with these pads) as some board members struggled with strapping systems to get them to rotate well in the butterfly and to line up perpendicular to the ice in the down position with a sealed 5-hole.

With mine, my knee would dig into the corner of the knee cradle rather than fall flat against the landing pad which would create a "V" opening in the butterfly. Drove me crazy! Especially coming of RBK's which, despite having many faults in my opinion, rotated beautifully and effortlessly.

Please let us know how they do. I am curious to see how the VK8 will look from a knee strapping perspective. I think I saw some members get more of an RBK knee set-up.

These are still the lightest most mobile pads I have ever played with and the best gloves I have ever played with.
