Brian's Dx2 Pro Glove Review

Let me start off by saying that this is my first real review so go easy on me

I recently received my new Brian's Dx2 Pro Glove. I have had 3 previous Brian's gloves, my last one being a Dx2 (07 model) Intermediate. I can't say that I will ever wear any other glove other than a Brian's, but we will obviously have to see. On a side note there aren't many stores around here where I can try things on. Now lets cut to the chase...

I custom ordered this in the colors of white/royal/orange to match my team's jerseys for the upcoming season. It took about 6 weeks from placing my order until it found its way to my doorstep, pretty quick in my opinion. I requested extra foam in the palm because I received numerous stingers in my last glove, and I was determined to make sure that it will not happen in this one. I had a choice to add 1/8" or 1/4" extra foam, so I asked for 1/8" extra, not going overboard.

Let me say that I now know that stock senior gloves have much more padding in the palm than intermediate gloves. Not knowing this beforehand, I think it is safe to say that I would have been okay without the extra foam.

First impressions:
1. MY NEW GLOVE IS HERE!
2. Man, this thing is stiff!- I have small/weak hands so it is hard to close, I guess it will just take some time to break in, and the extra foam may not have been necessary
3. The quality of the thing is fantastic, not a stitch out of place.

I have used this once so far and all I can say is I need to break it in more. It feels a bit different from the 07 model, but the break in the glove and the main features are pretty much the same. I didn't notice any difference in my ability to puckhandle with the beefed up palm. The backhand opens up completely to allow for easy drying, and there are many straps to customize the tightness of it.

Now what you really wanted to see:

It has been a pleasure talking with Ben Ward who helped me out with my decisions. He was friendly and very easy to talk to, and also updated me from time to time on what stage the glove was in. I give this glove a 9.9/10 and I am completely satisfied with it. I hope it lasts me for a long time, and now it's time to break it in!

I will post updates once i get it on the ice a few more times. Feel free to ask questions.
