Call me stubborn.
I guess that I don't totally agree with this because they are 'different' in some ways. I guess my analogy to this would be leather and suede. I believe suede is also another form of leather, but not 'pressed' or further treated... If you were to slide pressed leather and suede on ice, you would get a lot more slide with the pressed leather.
So I wouldl liken the pressed leather to the weave...
Does this make sense?
