Sean has done the last couple of these. He's learned some good things, we've met some great people, and it's a vacation for me besides.

At the last Roch. camp, we did a couple days at Niagra Falls. Last year was in Ottawa, where we'd never been.

We've got coaching options (Michigan - pretty fair amount available here), and because he's still young, more camps are open to him. Still, he's making a point to attend. With several instructors, you see different styles of play, of teaching, etc. Adult goalies don't have the option of trying most camps, since they're meant for kids. This one here, Sean was 14 the 1st time, and I think the oldest guy was 44 or so . And everyone learned something and had a great weekend. What more could you ask?

Plus, most of us are more than happy (make that THRILLED) to share a room to cut costs. Just let someone know. I for one snore badly, so if you want to drink and happen to pass out to avoid the noise, then it's a win-win, eh?

And there's the opportunity to meet and discuss gear with reps, manf. - In Roch., we went to Smiths'. It was so cool to see where and how the gear is made, and Sean & Nate decided right then to get Smith gear when they stop growing. Mask people were there (Mage, I think) and it was all very interesting.
