Soccer is the Best cardio in the world. I can run a 6K in just under 25 minutes, but it sucks. Instead, I play soccer for 3 hours a day a couple times a week and get more like 10-12KM in and have
fun doing it.
And, it works on your balance/footwork which correlates with ice.
