I agree with you on the first point, but not on the second. To me, it is a matter of representation. In today's political world, the squeekiest wheel gets the grease and most people discern priveleges and freedoms as "rights" (ie: gay rights, right to health care, etc....) As an American, I would love for there to be a politically-acceptable group to counter racially-motivated infringements on MY rights, priveleges, and freedoms, from groups like KARE and LULAC. Just because you're in a racial majority doesn't mean that you should not be represented politically or that you should be denied advocacy. If it's "fair" to have a representative organization for other ethnicities to lobby for their constituents, why should you be excluded just because you're in the majority?
