i must not be wiping them good enough?
What do you do with your skates after you wipe them down. I have never had a problem with rust of any kind on my skates. I currently use Vapor XXX's. After wiping down my skates I place them in "Skate Mate" skates guards. They are made of layers of high tech, cut proof materials and water absorbing cloth. The cloth absorbs any remaining water left on the blade after I wipe them down. When I get home I place them "blade down" still in the guards on a shelf. This allows any water trapped in the tuuk to run down the blade and be absorbed by the fabric instead of creating rust in the tuuk.

As I mentioned I've done this with all my skates and have never seen a hint of rust on my blades. (Bauer 5000, RBK 9K's and Bauer Vapor XXX's)
