I would suggest you to
1) Make a forum search for similar topics to gain some basic knowledge such as this one:
(
How can I tell if my skates don't fit?)
2) Preferably visit a hockey shop that has a variety of goalie skates available and test different sizes and widths to find the one for you. If you like Bauer, it is okay to stick with it, but you may other brands comfortable as well. Moreover, people at hockey shops usually hold some knowledge about skate fitting, so they can most probably assist you on the process.
3) Most people like thin socks instead of going barefoot. However if you find a thick sock better, then that's okay as well, but may also indicate that your skates are slightly oversized. As a general rule, you should not try to compensate oversized skates with thicker socks, unless your feet are still growing and can not afford replacing them according to your foot growth. It only makes things worse.
