I can do the puck flip thing, I just don't I always hold onto the puck or move towards the ref and let him take the puck out of my glove. You'd be surprised how many refs appreciate you not throwing the puck at them or not making them bend over to get the puck.
As for pet peeves, not many.
1) Warmups. Don't do them because despite talking to people they consider it target practice and have no idea how to warm up a goalie.
2) Players that play a level or two down just so they can score and look better than playing against players of their own calibre.
3) Players (term used loosely) who have been skating for 2 or 3 years and have not increased their skill level or hockey knowledge.
4) Players that pay to be on a team, fill up a roster and then don't show up for almost the enitre season leaving the ones that do show up frustrated by getting beat all the time for not having enough players.
5) People that just make excuses and blame everyone else for why they didn't do something or why the team lost, etc. When I screw up, I own up to it. When you screw up, don't blame me.
6) Kids who use one piece sticks. What a waste of money. The majority of them don't have the strength or talent to use those sticks and could get the exact same results froma wooden stick at a 1/4 of the cost. Maybe that peeve should be about the parents that actually buy them those sticks.
