I haven't seen you play, but...

If you are getting beaten consistently, then you are likely either playing the puck carrier too
aggressively, or you are not yet sufficiently mobile. AFTER the pass, you have to get over to block
the coming shot. Try not to anticipate.
To get over, you can use a power shuffle, a pad stack, a tee push, or a half butterfly, it is up to you
and depends on how far the two attackers are spread. If the puck carrier comes in close enough
some like put out the stick to block the pass. However you choose to move, make it quick and
explosive. Just getting there gives you a fighting chance.
