I had something like that years ago in bauers. 3000's though when I was at a goalie camp, my ankles would hurt like hell and my hells would be quite badly blistered, and the skates were well broken in. Can't remember what I did as we're talking like 10 years ago, but could be a number of things, I do remember that my ankles were quite weak at one point which caused pain. Could be to do with moisture in the skate if you're wearing them for a long period, or them being too lose or large causing rubbing and movement in the boot. If you were in them for 5 hours a day there's a good chance the heel was from friction, I always used to wear 2 pairs of socks to adjust for that in some skates. Having said that, I've worn the same bauer 5000 boot for about 5 years now and only get any sort of rubbing when the boot works lose if im on the ice for a long time and gets damp inside. The ankle could simply be a slight weakness in it which may go with time or excising it to strengthen it. Doubt thats any help.....
