And by "provide a source", I don't mean go to Statistics Canada and post population numbers. I can do that. Find out where the hockey fans are. Find out how many Leaf fans there are in Ottawa that justifies not broadcasting the Sens-Devils game last night, at least in the Ottawa area. Or on January 20th, when CBC is broadcasting Toronto at Pittsburgh, while Ottawa is in Boston. Or March 24th. Or March 31st. Or April 7th.
And do the same for Montreal, and explain to me how people in Montreal would rather watch Toronto play on November 4th than their own Habs. Or November 18th. Or December 9th. Or December 23rd. Or December 30th. Or February 24th. Or March 3rd. Or March 10th. Or March 24th. Or March 31st.
Then show me that there are more Leaf fans than Sens or Habs fans west of Ontario, so that I can understand why the only time I can see Ottawa or Montreal play is when they happen to be playing Toronto during one of their 27 Saturday night games.
You do have that information, right? It must be out there somewhere. Call CBC, they must have done their research to come up with this schedule, so that all the lucky Leaf fans across the country can tune in to watch their favorite team.
