I opened the package but never installed it, very important as it registers how many times it has installed itself with a copy protection company. So I didn't use up any of their allotted spots.
It's new just without the packaging. It's the dvd version.

Just to note -- you can block it with zonealarm or a program along those lines to prevent the information from reaching the net. Or, just unplug your router while you install.

The only way to install without sending the information to securom is to download the bioshock.exe file since when you install it doesn't create it, only when you validate with securom does that get put in the folder. Then you can run it and put in the cdkey. Which I believe doesn't send the info to securom.
