What can Bandits Goalie School do for you?

What makes Bandits the #1 year round goalie school in Michigan?

(Chris Osgood, Bandits Director Stan Matwijiw and Jason Bacahihua)

At Bandits Goalie School we strive to give our students every possible advantage to learn and become the best goaltender they can be. Therefore, we offer FOUR unique aspects to our year round training.

1. Team & Private Lessons:
The first phase of our training begins with superior year round instruction to goalies and teams through private and team instruction. If you want the best, then train with the best.

**Game Performance Evaluation**
A Bandits instructor will come to a specific game to analyze three periods of play. This will give the instructor, coaching staff and goalie a better understanding of what he or she is doing correctly in a game situation and also what the instructor and goalie need to be focusing more attention on during practice.

Game Performance Evaluation will consist of:
• 3 periods of pad analysis (pro’s and con’s of game performance)
• recap evaluation with goalie after game –go over pad analysis
• goalie will receive a separate self evaluation form to take home
review self evaluation form at next practice with instructor
• review notes and recap goalies performance with coaching staff

2. Winter and Spring Clinics:
The second phase of our training involves top notch clinics that run during the winter holiday season and also during the spring months, beginning in April and ending in early June.

1st Clinic: Christmas Keep It Sharp - Main Focus: mid season tune up to focus on mechanics, recovery and game situation drills.

2nd Clinic: Power Skating and Stick Handling - Main Focus: edge work, agility, recover drills, shooting and puck handling drills.

3rd Clinic: Keep It Sharp - Main Focus: core mechanics and skill sets, agility and recovery drills and game situation drills.

3. Summer Camps
The third phase of our training starts in mid June and focuses student's attention on developing good habits and strong skill sets for the upcoming season.
- 3 hours of ice a day - 15 hours of on ice training each week.
- Daily dry land routine
- Lecture sessions in the classroom
- Report cards are provided along with video analysis at the end of each week.

4. Junior and Pro Elite Camps
The fourth phase of our training is designed for the elite level goaltender. The Jr. Elite camp caters to the high end high school and AAA goaltender while the Pro Elite accommodates to the Jr., college and Pro athletes.
- 4 hours of ice a day - 20 hours of on ice training each week
- 2:1 student to teacher on ice ratio - 12 goalies on the ice at a time
- Daily, 90 minute classroom sessions with University of Michigan Sports Psychologist Dr. Hugh Bray
- Daily, 90 minutes of dry land training with strength and conditioning coach Jim Marinoff (2 sessions each day - morning and late afternoon)
- Catered lunch from four star restaurant Andiamo's
(registrations for these two camps will be reviewed by the Bandits staff and accepted on approval. 24 goalies accepted for the Jr. Elite Camp and 12 goalies accepted for the Pro Elite Camp).

Go were the pro's go!
