On February 4, 2008 Bandits Goalie School student and Kent State University Flashes sophomore goaltender Ryan Gregory was more like Ron Hextall when he made ACHA history by scoring a goal against University of Michigan Dearborn.
“As a goalie, it seems almost impossible to score a goal but when you get that one chance to shoot for an empty net in a game, you go for it”.
Below is a YouTube interview with Ryan along with footage of his goal from this past season.
Ryan's Interview starts at the 4:31 mark of the video.
They spell his name wrong on TV? Gregor? or Gregory?
No it's right on the TV, I posted the thread with his name wrong. Missed the "y" in his last name, my mistake! That's what happens when you type too fast!
Ha I played a game against him, and just thought the whole game.... man i love those pads. Very very good goalie and I knew he had the potential to score a goal by the way he handles the puck. Great job. Now there's two goalies that scored a goal in that league (although mine wasn't in the ACHA)
