Trouble with time stamp?

anyone else having trouble with the time stamp? I have my personal prefs set to Eastern Time (GMT -5:00) but it seems to list the board time as one hour faster than it really is... and yes folks I DID reset my clocks forward for Daylight Savings.

Oh! The BBS doesn't adjust the GMT offness for Daylight Savings Time. You'll have to set your time zone for one west of where you are.

Let's see if I did that right.

Yep. For Daylight Savings Time, set your preference for one hour west of where you are. It has to be a local change because not all regions of the world change between Standard and Daylight Savings Time on the same date.

You boys in Norther Australia don't have to worry about this: to prevent the curtains fading faster from thatextra hour of daylight, there's no DST for you.

I was going to post about this earlyer today. I tried about 3 times but the BB wouldn't let me. It just pretended it didn't exist.

the clock setting on the BB is going to be the clock on the server that the BB runs on. there for if you are not in same time zone as the BB your not going to be on the same time. the time on the BB said 1:05 AM when i logged in. Brett you might want to look into a program called Atomic clock it automatically sinks to an atomic clock server in Boulder colorado and will keep exact time. If you are ruinning windows 2000 server you can use the net time protocol.

Daemyn, there's a setting in the preferences or profile that lets you set your time zone. Also, time synchronization software has been available for all sorts of computers for many years; it's good to see that Windows finally has it, too.
