Search Suggestion

When you do a search it says that you have to have at least 4 characters or it won't search. Is there any way you could change this Brett? It makes it kind of hard of hard to search for things like CCM, 852, VK2, etc...

I found this a problem as well. I was searching for Brown 554 c/a, but it only took Brown, as the others are not 4 characters long. Is there a way to solve this problem?

Also, just wanted to say, now that my account is active, that you have done a very good job on the bb.

The 4-character thing is to prevent it searching for words that appear in every post. However, that prevents looking for phrases such as "web site" or the brand names others mentioned.

A better way,which would involve a letter to the makes of the BBS software, would be to have a list of stop words ... the common words that do appear in just about every document, such as a, I, be, go, me, no, of, or, to, and, so, forth. Any search phrase woudl simplyhave the stop words stripped out before the search starts. Tadaa. Mission accomplished.
