Elkin Goalie Camp
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has been to the Jon Elkin Camp in Toronto, and what you experiences were. I booked myself in for this summer. I had always wanted to go to a camp, and I wasn't going to put it off any more. I had a good felling talking to them, but I would like some unbiased opinions.
Thanks for any input.

I wanted August but they were sold out. The closest I could get is July 28-August 1. What about you?

hey,
all be going back for my third time this year for two weeks in july, its a great camp! jon is on the ice every day, he instructors are all very well qualified and its a great atmosphere. they emphasize heavily on the butterfly- but are patient with everyone from beginners to high calibre players. a word of caution though, the dryland they have is a bit rough. its not that its that hard, but its been out in the blistering heat both years i've gone. thats a little rough but hey "it'll make you a better goalie." if you have any other questions post away, i'll be happy to answer them.
stopping what hits me
christie
ps- im going i'll be up there for the last two weeks of July.

Ive been to it for a few years. Defently the best camp I have ever attended. Much better than Rick Heinz or any local one Ive gone too.
Tons of personal attention, Instructors are great, mucho ice time. You cant go wrong with it.

man, i wish i was going again this year... i went last year and had a blast! it was the best part of my summer! i agree with Booosh, the dryland is rough, but nothing like working out here in Dallas!
the only reason im not going again this year is because of the funds... on account of i dont have any... if you are boarding with them, and the guy from NYU is the chaperone or whatever, just dont forget your backpack at the retro bowling place and ask him to take you back and get it ... other than that it was awesome. Jon is a great guy, he comes around to everyone and has a little chat with everyone. have fun yall!

Im going to a football kicking camp in Austin like a week from monday. And im sure that the dryland is going to be hell with the nice texas weather. At least in canada the weather is usually pretty mild, and the humidity is managable most of the time.

I feel very, very bad for you. The temp is apx 94 and the humidity is even higher. I feel like I am suffocating every time I walk outdoors. Btw, I will be at Elkin's the next 2 weeks, great camp.

I have a bone to pick with the guys going to Elkin's camp!
My Thursday morning skate got bumped from 7:30 to 7:00 am. I have to get up an hour earlier because of you guys
BTW Joey from Vaughn is at Iceland this week with some nice gear to show. Mostly V2's. He's set up outside of rink 1. If you have any questions about Vaughn gear, he's the guy to talk to
