confidence

here's my problem...I play street and inline hockey...in my street hockey league, i go into every game fully expecting to win. my confidence level in that league is very high but in my roller hockey league i find myself second guessing myself through out the game. its not like im just starting out with these guys...i've played at their level for some time now and have proved myself...what do you guys do when you find your confidence slipping? i find myself letting in goals that would normally be routine stops. i cant seem to get out of this rut! any suggestions would be great, thanks!

Sounds easy. but I found a great article in a sports psychology site that recommends the TRAIN and TRUST model.

Think and dissect and even worry during training time but get yourself in the habit of turning all that **** off when you play.

When I catch myself starting to think I yell, "STOP!" (sometimes confusing to other players), say "Let go" and deeply exhale, and then say "Focus."

Simple ****, but I find it really turns me into a very focused, stone-faced goalie. It helps a lot to get those extra baggage emotions and feelings out of the way.

The key is trust.
