Do it Monday, Wednesday, Friday, not Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. You need to spread out the lifting so that your body has time to recover properly and at the same time not go too long between lifting.

Going from Thursday to the following Tuesday without lifting is a long time. Going from Friday to Monday is much better.

Milk (always drink skim) is a decent source of the casein protein found in cottage cheese but you will have to drink quite a bit to get enough to do much good through the night. Plus, it might not be compatible with your stomach depending on your milk lactose tolerance.

You can simply try taking a casein powder supplement before going to bed. There are plenty out there ie. Twin lab makes one.

The key is to get casein protein in your system so the body uses that over the long period of your "fasting" during the night. Other protein wont last long enough and your body will begin to "eat" that hard-earned muscle you worked so hard in the gym to create.

The casein will help to stop the "cannabilism." If you cant eat the cot cheese, go for the powder.

What do you mean she won't "let" you? Are you the man or not?

Seriously, why doesn't she want you eating cottage cheese?

I actually liked eating cottage cheese... it`s just that it makes her gag just to see the container...

I guess I`ll drink a large glass of milk before going to bed and see what happens.

Are you serious? Put the container in a little cardboard box and she won't be able to see it anymore. That's the strangest thing I've heard all week.

You can always take a casein powder mix as an alternative. Ie. try Twin Labs PM protein which is a casein version of their protein powder package.

check it here...

Ok....tried the cottage cheese tonight for the first time...

How the hell do you guys eat that crap?!?!?!?!?! Holy Schnikes!!!!! YUCK!!! I got instant cotton mouth after eating it and that was with a little peach compote to go with it for flavor.

I have changed my post game/workout night regimine and that includes a small gatorade for rehydration and a protein bar. It's some powerbar something or other with like 26g of protein and I noticed that the following morning I am not as hungry afterwards.

The first three times I ate cottage cheese, I had to slice a hard-boiled egg on it, put pepper on it, put salsa on it... anything to mask the taste. Now I eat it right out of the container, no problem. Give it some time, you'll get used to it.
