Yes, good point. I should have mentioned that that is also part of my plan along with the strength training. As well as some serious stretching.

On the contrary, Leafer, the fact that your metabolic rate is higher means that you're burning far more calories overall by strength training than you are by doing aerobic exercise.

First of all I suck at videography and the sun kept going up and down due to clouds which caused all kinds of psychadelic video contamination during the taping - sorry about that.
But hey - I did this as a service to all you guys - and now you have it. Hope you enjoy it and that it is helpful

You drink this 3 to 4 times a day? Wow, I don't think I could do that. I would probably be full after the first one till lunch. Also, you said you drink it before bed. Do you still eat cottage cheese before bed or does this replace it?

Here's something interesting that happened...
I have been allowing myself a cheat approximately every two weeks. I have two things that I really enjoy and that is ice cream at the local Frosty Treats and pizza at Rodney's. I like those two things so much that I save my cheats for one of those two.
The last time I went to each place, the food didn't quite seem as good as I remembered it. I kind of thought that maybe they made it a little different or something, but now I am starting to think that I am actually starting to lose my sweet/fat tooth. Something that I thought would never happen.
It's actually a little sad.
Ok, I'm over it.

Mont -- do you have any variation of this shake, or do you mess with the quantities only? I plan on trying it this week sometime and seeing how it goes.
Thanks once again for all of the great info!

This question will kinda come out of nowhere, but I'd figure I'd post it here instead of making a new thread.
My question is in regards to aerobic activity. Is it more the better? Or as with anaerobic activity, is it better to work yourself real hard then give yourself a break?
I've been running 5 miles a day, doing 3 miles, then hit the stationary bike with cranked up resistance (10 minutes up a hill) then doing another 2 miles after that. This takes me about 45 minutes and I don't stop for breaks, or walk etc. I just want to be sure that I'm getting the most out of my work as possible. I do this everyday Monday-Friday. (I work all day Saturday and Sunday) I've just been working on cardio right now. I want to work myself to a good point before I start hitting the weights.

I would suggest a combination of the two so your body does not get used to the workout.

There is a big campaign going on here in DK about health regarding kids and sports etc.
For example about getting rid of the bad foods normally sold in the clubs themselves.
MGA has its own campaign for the goalies and here it is. I couldnt think of a more appropriate thread than this one.

I liked the first one better.
The you in the second one has more lighting, which makes it too distracting from the text, plus I liked how the green yous in the first one acted as a border.

Is it better to do smaller sets of say 50 sit ups than 1 set of 125 situps? Just wondering because I need to strengthen my chest area and lose a little bit of gut fat Also what would be a good non-gym leg workout?
