How is it going, Andrew. It's Brett.
I worked inhouse (Vancouver) for the Goalie Store from 94 to 97 both on our products and doing a great deal of teaching. In that time I setup The Goalie Store's first, and decidedly amateurish, web site. I am ultimately reponsible for all of the mistakes and some of the good points of The Goalie Store's web site since the beginning.
I was married in '97, and moved to Chicago, as you know. I continued to teach goaltending extensively in IL before we moved again to CT over a year ago.
My official capacity with the company is now officially that of an outside contractor who develops and maintains this web site when he can find a spare minute from taking care of his all consuming 5 month old son.
By the way, Andrew here is quite a talented young goalie, one of those smooth athletic types who just looks like a goalie out there.
During my year in Chicago I taught him as an 11(?) year old (Isn't that right, punk) Since I left him, my guess is that Andrew has become much less disciplined working on his movement around the crease and is still not as aggressive as we worked on him becoming. He just went through a year where he was on a juggernaught of a team, and I suspect that he didn't get as much work as he would have liked.
For you goalie coaches out there (and I know there are some of you) this is the kind of kid that you love to work with.
Nice to hear from you, Andrew. My email remains bhaywood@goaliestore.com. I look forward to hearing from you again soon.
