Today, i played okay but i thought i really let my team down by letting in 5 goals....
Well we were playing at the teams school and guess who the refs were, (STUDENTS!!!!!!! of the school) So i the middle of the second period its 2-0 for them. Then all of a sudden this kid who came on the ice late. Just skates by my whole team and snipes upper-left, this is where it gets fuzzy. I did not think it went in, neither did anyone else on the ice. Because played resumed and everybody started skateing the other way. And the ref says that it was a goal, (after they were allready down the ice), so i shake it off, but i am very pissed. So then about 1 minute later the same thing happend. The same player and the same shot (upper left from a very bad angle). Same thing, i stopped it and the play started going the other way. Then all of a sudden the ref signals a goal, I AM FURIOUS!!!! I skate after him, telling him that he is !!@#!@$@#$@#%#%@#. (did i mention that we were at a country school, with alot of little kids). So now i have the whole rink laughing at me, except for my team and my father (who wanted to kill me at that point). The jokes and **** is comeing my way every whistle. The game ended 5-2 for them, I had around 35 shots. I could tell my coach was pissed at me. My team sayed the usual "good game" stuff. But now i have a feeling next game my coach will play the backup instead of me becuase of my behavior. The thing is: Who the hell wouldnt argue against 2 goals. that didnt even go in. I just wanted to win seeing that my team is now 0-2. What should I say to my coach and what do you think about the matter. I think it was right for me to argue my case after the goal, I did do it abit harshly though, and i was VERY emmbaressed the rest of the game with the taunting. Whats your opinions and what should i tell my coach.
PLEASE, excuse spelling, im kinda in a rush all this week....

Going by the grammar and spelling, you and your audience may be in the same classes next year, pottymouth.

Modern medicine has made some great strides recently. You might try some Prozac or something!!

Seriously, you'll never play in the NHL, so lighten the hell up.

Student Refs

Students reffing a game? What level is this? How can it be an official game if they don't have referees?

you sound like you were being a dork.

it happens man. just cool it. it's easy to get worked up in a game though.

But remember. Regardless of how CRAPPY the ref's are. if the puck is behind you at some point... you can't see it, it could have VERY likely gone in.

every now and then, they will make bad calls they're human. And the ones on the lines maybe hard. There's no photo evidence in bear leaguers.

Why is the fact that they didn't have certified referee's, that they had students refereeing the game, being ignored here? Not to mention the fact that the refs attend the school of the opposing team!!!!!!! That's ludicrous!
"every now and then they will make bad calls, they're human." ????????
They're not refs. They're GOING to make bad calls! That's a given. WTF?
Your commenting as if these were real refs.

even though they are not real refs

they were appointed by whatever higher power was running the game to officiate the game

they are to be treated as ref's when on the ice.

WHen the canadian womens team won the olympic gold in 2002 while being short handed 13+ times by american referees'. Did they turn around and throw hissy fits and blame the referees and run after them?

NO, they went out and won the ****ing game even through huge odds.

I don't agree with the appointment of these ref's in his game. But they were the ref's and you have to bear with it. Or you can leave the ice and forfeit. But running after the ref's yelling at them is just a silly thing to do.

I hope this game didn't actually count.
THEY ARE STUDENTS!!! FROM THE SCHOOL THAT IS HOSTING THE GAME!!! If nothing else there's a built in bias toward the home team.
How can you compare this situation to the one in the Olympics?

loose comparison. obviously the levels are extremely different.

the refs maybe complete jerkfaces who aren't fit to wear skates,
But if they're the assigned refs what are you going to do about it?

thats my problem. yes, you can blame the refs. They were ****ty biased *******s.

But they were still the refs

What difference does it make now? #1 are these 'students' really from that school or is it assumed because of their age? #2 it does not change the fact that Shu made an ass out of himself with his behaviour. If I was the coach, Shu would of just demoted himself to the backup and good luck finding your way back to the starter's job. That situation not only embarrassed himself but the team; coach and school. This also reflects on the coach since he is teaching/leading the team and this display make it seem that poor sportsmanship is okay.

BTW, there is no excuse for spelling and grammatical errors. Bad habits in hockey practice will reflect in a game, the same goes for school work.

You lost 5-2, which means aside from the goals you thought weren't legit, you let in 3 others anyway.

You would have lost either way. You just made yourself out to be the village idiot at the same time.

Congratumalations.

thank you everyone, Yes i was informed by the way that i was and ******* during that game by my dads constant 2 hours of yelling. I was thinking about recording the screaming and making some money on a metal album. I talked to alot of the kids on my team today and they said they never saw either of the goals go in.
And the reason why i am in such a rush this week is because i have a **** load of homework, because teachers all want stuff before vacation..... so yes i agree what you say about school/ work. thats why i am in a rush.

well usually rather than loose it on the refs, you gotta slash the opposing players in the shinguards if they try to stand in your crease. sure its not an answer but it is a quick solution.

okay, now.......................let the flood gates open.
