Exclamation Hockey Specific Workouts - Read if you have ever asked that question!

A lot of people ask about specific hockey workouts etc, I ran across these articles tonight and thought I would share for everyone to read. Tons of great stuff in there and it not only tells you how, but also why:

The gladiator training ones are definately interesting reads

This was a great Q&A.

Supports a lot of what I have been preaching here for a while.

funny how threads like this, the foundation of goaltending are ignored and fall to the bottom, while threads like the "Ultimate Reeboks" and the like are all at the top.

Guess it just goes to prove, wearing cool gear makes you a better netminder!

Its a great thread.

I posted this as a sticky

Doctor on Ice Resources sticky?

trying to get everyone to build a resource thread to go find stuff but it didn't get a lot of hits.

Those articles great for skaters in general. It would be nice to see articles that are specific to goaltending, but I can't complain.

I'm not a big fan of his article. I find Mike Boyle's stuff to be more beneficial towards athletes. While I do not agree with all of his stuff, for the most part he's right on the money. Also, he explains the reasons why he does or does not do exercises much better than Ballantyne who just states that he "isn't a big fan of" certain lifts.

I think it's funny that he submits an article that is comprised of the exact exercises he's "not a fan of" in his other article.
