Exclamation Toronto Adult Summer Clinics - June 16, July 7, 14, 21 & 28.

Note: Many of you will have received this offer by "blast" e-mail last week. If you want on my e-mail list please make sure I have an up to date e-mail address. Thx.

Summer Adult Clinic Announcement - 5 Pack Session - Toronto

Hi Everyone,

The Performance Goaltending team is pleased to announce that we will be running a series of 5 adult goalie training sessions commencing Saturday June 16th. The sessions will be for two hours starting at 9:15 am at the Canlan Vic Park arena, 3550 Victoria Park Avenue, Toronto.

Link to arena map: Directions

Dates of the clinics:

June 16, July 7, July 14, July 21 and July 28. All starts are Saturdays at 9:15 am.

Target Audience:

Any and all adult goalies are welcomed to sign up, regardless of skill level or previous experience with Performance Goaltending.

I will e-mail you directly to confirm your place in the clinics.

I may be contacted by e-mail at: dave@performancegoaltending.com

These sessions will be capped at a maximum of 24 goalies for a maximum 4:1 ratio per station.

Scope & Sequence

This will be a progressive series of clinics where we will cover all aspects of goaltending including, but not limited to:

General net movement and skating, pre-shot preparation, positioning for angles & depth, lower body save movements, upper body save movements, net play, rebound control, basic tactics, advanced tactics, transitions, reading the play, puck handling, communication, mental toughness & tactics and much more.

There will be a strong emphasis on “modern goaltending techniques” which is a catch-all phrase meaning strong low-ice center net coverage and strong east-west movement skills. Hockey Canada’s Goaltending Training Matrix will be utilized to help ensure that cutting-edge drills and development take place.

Prerequisite

None. All skill levels are welcome – we will work with everyone to help make you better goalies. Goalies will be grouped according to skill level whenever possible.

Please do not come to this session with dull skates or you will have a miserable time! The style that we teach requires sharp edges to complete backside recoveries and lateral movements while down. I strongly recommend a cut of a 1/2" for most adult goalies...

Also, please do not come to this if you are not ready to try some new techniques. If you are an ‘old school goalie’ we can teach you some different approaches to your game – please keep an open mind!

One last point - have fun! We take our teaching seriously but not ourselves... we will do our best to make sure you learn in a fun yet demanding environment.

Apres Skate

For those interested, we will find a nice 'greasy spoon' to chow down and talk hockey after the sessions... Surprise, surprise... they will be serving beer by the time we arrive!

Fee

Please note that I am implementing an "updated" payment system to allow the use of credit card payments through the Pay Pal interface.

The link for payment is here: Pay Here
[Note: you will need to use Internet Explorer for this page.]

It is my strong preference that the Pay Pal payment system be used as it allows easy tracking of payments and instant confirmation of your place in the clinic.

To make the payment for the clinic simply press the “Buy It Now” button underneath the “Summer Clinic” placement and follow the instructions.

Please do NOT pay until you have been confirmed accepted to the clinic.

** Be sure to add your GBBB name to the Pay Pal notes or cheque **

Payment is due by Tuesday June 5th
.

Please take a moment to read the "cancellation policy" at the bottom of the payment page. For a number of reasons I will be strictly adhering to the payment due date and refund policy.

Cost per goalie will be $250.00 for the 5 sessions.

If necessary, cheques are payable to:

Dave Wells
78 Dovehouse Ave
Toronto, ON
M3J 1A2

If you have any questions feel free to ask: dave@performancegoaltending.com

Thanks in advance.

Just putting this out here.

Unfortunately I can't make it to the July sessions because my daughters' swim classes will be moved from its current Sunday morning time slot to Saturday mornings.

Therefore, I could only attend the one session in June (while their class is still on Sundays). So I will keep my eyes open for the case where someone signed up for the whole thing for some reason can't make it to the June 16th session. (And I will try to keep things simple for Dave by dealing directly with that member.)

Thanks,
Raymond

Sievie D. has a sore hand and you have a pulled muscle... all on the same night... Not that there's anything wrong with that... You two are welcomed to my clinics, even with your 'alternate' lifestyles...

I see a trend here, people who have "wall" and "33" in their BB name are no skill, no talent asses.

In other news......

A replacement has been found

I said wall AND 33, don't associate yourself with those trouble makers. They are bad news.

Jimmy... when you are commonly found lurking in the ZZ Division there's not much further south for your game to go!
