The only "big" word in your post atrocious which i knew the meaning of in like 1st grade. If you consider the words in your sentence hard or what ever, maybe you should use some better synonyms so that someone with a college graduate reading and vocabulary level would have to maybe look the words up in your post.

Your a smart lady* and I bet you could do that quite easily, if I do say so myself. i dont look at peoples profiles very often
Why spell/use grammar correctly? Well, other than making sure your message is loud and clear, it makes you appear intelligent, or at least care enough about your own voice and work to put the time, effort, and energy to make it correct. It's hard to imagine you work a lot on hockey if you don't even show that same will and drive on something simple like spelling.

I'm so sorry that I missed some punctuation and had one L in personally, what a pitty, but alas, I must be going off to work. Farewell fellow goalies and parents of goalies, till we meet yet again in about 5 hours

Wouldn't that be "what a potty" instead?

this thread just goes off on all sorts of tangents, wasn't this thread just a question of what this goalie school was about, not if stacking the pads is legit or not? BTW mingoaldude, if the B-fly was the answer to every shot, there SHOULD be no goals scored on you if your so textbook about it. Also, if you play varsity hockey, wouldn't you be watching the video tapes with your goalie coach? not just by yourself and your dad.

if you have NEVER made a save out of desperation, then you have given up on some plays and stacking the pads may be a desperation save, why not learn it FOR those desperation saves.

I have been to Stan Matijwa's camp and the two pad stack and diving pokecheck while seeming outdated do have their uses in certain situations. On a 2 on 0 I used the two pad stack to make the save and it saved the game for us. Also the diving pokecheck is great por a guy coming out of the corne or the side with his head down and next thing he knows he is on his face. That is a great moment for a goalie on a pokecheck when you get the puck and trip the guy at the same time.

Yea we don't have a goalie coach, so I would if we had one, but my dad played semi-pro over in europe a long time ago. He knows the position very well, but I have homework and a Mankato Mavericks vs. Minnesota Gophers game to watch, auf wiedersehen.

You Know Keeks is the Leafs goalie coach right? I'm pretty sure he knows a bit more about the position than any high school goalie.

And as for refusing to practice poke checks and pad stacks, what are you gonna think when you get in a situation where you COULD HAVE made the save if you just simply learned what the coaches told you instead of being an arrogant know-it-all

Im being arrogant because I do not want to use a pad stack, I am watching two of the best goalies in college hockey right now, they have yet to use the pad stack, in three games (all three have gone into o.t. 1st double ot 2nd one ot and the 3rd is in between 1 and 2 ots') I'll let you know if I see one.

You drop on every single save, even from a shot inside the faceoff dot and the guy coming along the goal line at you. Bad habit.

They were all low, I am a butterfly goalie. That shot wasn't that bad of an angle, I know when to stand up and when not to, ok. I'm not 8 years old anymore, I ANTICIPATE the shots. Did you see where the rebound went into the corner, textbook.***

From the video, the only time you're standing up is when the puck is at the other end of the ice.
